Formfeed for Activepieces
Activepieces is the open-source choice for teams that host their automation themselves, often for the same reason they want an EU document API. The Formfeed piece renders templates with their fields as inputs and hands the file to the next step.
On npm as @formfeed/activepieces-piece, not in Activepieces’ own catalogue: a platform admin installs it by name where the platform allows custom pieces.

Actions and triggers
- Create Document. Pick a template and its fields appear as inputs; the document comes back as a file.
- Create Document from HTML and from URL. For flows that build markup or capture a public page.
- Convert Document to PDF and Upload File. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument and RTF files to PDF (Starter plan and above), logos and PDFs into the file library.
- Get Render and Custom API Call. A render with a fresh download URL, and any other endpoint with the connection’s key, such as merging PDFs.
- Render Completed, Render Failed, Batch Finished. Webhook triggers that register themselves and check every delivery’s signature.
Installed by name
Platforms that allow custom pieces install it by its npm name, @formfeed/activepieces-piece, under Platform Admin → Setup → Pieces → Install Piece. The default scopes of a new key cover every render action; tick file:write for Upload File and webhook:manage for the triggers. Where no piece can be installed, the HTTP piece makes the same call: the documentation has both.
