Formfeed for n8n
Many n8n users run their own instance, often for the same reason they want an EU document API, and n8n Cloud offers the node as well. The node covers renders and e-invoices, templates, the progress of batches, the file library, Office files to PDF and a trigger for finished renders, and an AI Agent can use it as a tool.
Verified by n8n: search for Formfeed in the nodes panel of n8n Cloud or of a self-hosted n8n and install it there. On npm it is n8n-nodes-formfeed.

Operations
- Render → Create. From a template, HTML or a public URL; PDF, PNG, JPG or WebP, and DOCX, PPTX or PDF from a Word or PowerPoint template. It waits for the document and attaches it as binary data, or queues the render and returns at once.
- Render → Create E-Invoice. A ZUGFeRD / Factur-X invoice from the fields of the invoice, printed by your template and validated before the node receives it. Live e-invoices from the Starter plan; a test key makes up to 20 a day on the Free plan, each with the test mark.
- Render → Get. Status and a fresh download URL of a render, for example a queued one.
- Job → Get. The progress of a batch and its zip. A batch itself is one call to
/renders/batchfrom the HTTP Request node. - File → Upload. Put a logo or a PDF from an earlier node into the file library, where templates use it by name.
- PDF → Convert Office Document. A Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument or RTF file, or the render of a Word or PowerPoint template, as a PDF. Starter plan and above.
The trigger
Formfeed Trigger registers a webhook endpoint when the workflow is activated and removes it when it is deactivated. It fires on finished or failed renders and batches and when the quota nears or reaches its limit, for live and test keys alike, and its key needs the webhook:manage scope. It does not check the delivery’s signature: the address n8n generates is a secret of its own, and Render → Get reads a render back when a workflow must be sure of it.
As a tool for an AI agent
Connected to the Tools input of n8n’s AI Agent, the node lets the agent list templates, read a schema and render; a current n8n offers it as a tool without any setting. The AI Agent can also reach the hosted MCP server through the MCP Client Tool. The documentation has every operation and field.
