What Formfeed does

The editor, the visual editor for images, the rendering API, the template system, Word and PowerPoint templates, the brand kit, release channels, ZUGFeRD and Factur-X e-invoices, and tagged PDFs checked against PDF/UA-1, each in detail. AI agents and the integrations have sections of their own.

• Word and PowerPoint templatesPut Jinja2, Liquid or Handlebars tags into your own Word or PowerPoint file and render it as DOCX, PPTX or PDF, with QR codes, barcodes and pictures. Convert office documents to PDF through the same API.
• E-invoices: ZUGFeRD and Factur-XCreate ZUGFeRD and Factur-X invoices from the template you already have: the PDF for the reader and the XML for the software in one file, validated against EN 16931 before it is delivered.
• Tagged PDFs in PDF/UA-1, checked by veraPDFSwitch on PDF/UA-1 in a template or a request, and Formfeed tags the PDF, repairs what the browser’s tags leave open and checks the file with veraPDF, report included.
• Brand kit and shared partialsLogos, colours, fonts and the legal footer once per organisation, plus letterheads and footers every template shares. Changes reach published templates without republishing.
• Release channels and typed templatesNamed release channels with canary shares and rollback, a schema check that stops breaking changes, and generated TypeScript and Python types for template data.
