Formfeed as a CraftMyPDF alternative

CraftMyPDF targets no-code users with a visual designer and integrations. Formfeed is for teams that keep templates in HTML and CSS: a code editor with diagnostics and preview in the browser, the same templates as files with a CLI, tests in CI, and an API-first product with EU residency.

When CraftMyPDF fits better

If the people who build your PDFs want to place boxes with the mouse rather than write HTML, CraftMyPDF’s designer does that for PDFs; Formfeed’s canvas makes images only so far.

Switching in three steps

  1. Rebuild the layout in HTML and CSS, starting from an example or the Blocks panel; the paged preview shows page breaks, headers and footers while you work.
  2. Keep automations in Zapier or Make: the Formfeed app is in Zapier’s directory, and the Make app is built and in Make’s review; until it is listed, Make’s HTTP module makes the same call.
  3. Push templates from a repository with formfeed templates push once the team prefers files.

Competitor details come from their public pages on the date above and are reviewed quarterly; tell us at hello@formfeed.dev if something changed.
